Description 

Number 4 nylon hinge to suit Steel-Line Sectional Garage Door. Hinges will be numbered 1 to 4 from the bottom to the top of the door. If your hinge is stamped “4” this will replace the hinge used to join the 4th panel and the 5th panel.

Replacement hinge to suit earlier Steel-Line garage doors.

These hinges are embossed with a number according to which panel they came from (usually 1, 2, 3 or 4)

The number 1 hinge is used to house the roller and join the bottom panel to the second panel

It is important to select the correct number hinge as although they look the same at first glance the hole centers for the roller shaft will change by 5-6mm between each panel so fitting the incorrect hinge will cause your door to bind or scrape along the face.

When ordering online, Identify the hinge number you require or combination of hinge numbers.

Hinges will be numbered 1 to 4 from bottom to the top of the door. There is also a middle hinge that has no number stamped on it, referred to as an ‘Intermediate’ hinge. If your hinge is stamped “4” this will replace the hinge used to join the 4th panel and the 5th panel. Please note that the hinges are not interchangeable with one another, i.e. Hinge #1 will not suit #3 hinges.
